Background

Truth In Audio is an umbrella company for the live sound industry with its anchor placed firmly in education and industry promotion. After a 20-year career working for some of the industries most prominent loudspeaker manufacturers (Adamson, L-ACOUSTICS, EAW), Bernie Broderick saw a need for a company that would provide not only a comprehensive educational opportunity for the men and women of the industry but also a promotional vehicle for manufacturers wanting to contribute to this intellectual growth, while simultaneously raising their brands’ visibility. Technicians entering or advancing in this industry now have a clearly defined educational choice allowing them to stay current with the industry’s leading techniques, trends, and best practices, while manufacturers have an industry ally upon which they can trust to promote their brand.

Our Approach

TIA is a funnel for knowledge in the live sound industry and relies on the contributions of many of the industry’s top veterans to provide content for the curriculum. This not only provides a historical perspective but also a broad cross-section of personal interpretation as each of these veterans may provide alternate methods for producing similar results. Content has been compiled from a long list of front of house (FOH) engineers, monitor engineers, systems technicians, product designers, and veteran businessmen and women who have amassed considerable knowledge and experience over their professional careers in pro audio.

Our mission

TIA’s mission is to become a rallying point for live audio. To support that mission, TIA will also offer various services to its sponsors. The first is its International Product Evaluation Program (or IPEP). What better way to have a new concept or product evaluated than by the industry that will use it? Our team’s expertise can help manufacturers prove concepts or test products before they hit the market, potentially saving thousands of dollars, and a lot of time.
